Real Estate Agent Review Response Examples

In real estate, your Google reviews are your listing presentation — sellers and buyers vet agents online before the first call, and they read how you handle criticism. A transaction is emotional, high-stakes, and months long: reviews reflect that intensity in both directions.

Great agent responses do two things: celebrate the milestone (a closing is a life event, not a transaction), and handle criticism with the calm of a professional who negotiates for a living.

Copy-paste examples

1 · Successful sale, glowing review
"Sold our home above asking in 9 days. Marketing was outstanding and she negotiated like a pro."
Nine days and above asking is what happens when great preparation meets a seller who trusts the strategy — you staged, priced, and decided fast, and that made the marketing sing. Negotiating for people I like is the easy part. Congratulations on the next chapter; my phone's always on for you and yours.
2 · First-time buyer gratitude
"As first-time buyers we were clueless. He walked us through every step and never made us feel dumb."
There are no dumb questions in a first purchase — only the ones that don't get asked and cost money later. You two asked all the right ones. Watching first-time buyers get keys is the best part of this job, full stop. Congratulations on your home; holiday card list, consider yourselves added.
3 · Communication complaint
"Great at the listing appointment, impossible to reach afterward. Weeks without updates."
An agent who shines at the pitch and vanishes after signing is the industry's worst stereotype — and reading it about myself stings because the communication clearly failed here. My standard is same-day callbacks and a written update every week; where that broke down on your listing, the accountability is mine. I'd welcome the chance to talk it through directly.
4 · Deal fell through, blamed agent
"Our purchase collapsed a week before closing. Feel like our agent should have seen it coming."
A collapse a week out is heartbreaking — months of plans undone by, in this case, financing circumstances outside anyone's control on our side of the table. What an agent owes you in that moment is a fast plan B, and finding you the right next home became exactly that. I understand the frustration needed somewhere to land; I'm still here to finish what we started when you're ready.
5 · Pricing disagreement from seller
"Pressured us to drop our price. Sold below what we wanted."
Pricing conversations are the hardest part of this job: my duty is to tell sellers what the market data says, not what we all wish it said. The recommendation came from comparables, days-on-market and buyer feedback — but 'pressured' means I communicated it poorly, and that's worth reflecting on. I'm glad your sale completed, and my file on the analysis remains open to you anytime.
6 · Rental client, small deal, great service
"Just a rental, but she treated us like million-dollar clients."
'Just a rental' isn't a thing in my book — it's someone's next home, with a deadline. Treating every client like the big deal is also, frankly, good business: renters become buyers, and buyers remember who returned their calls when the commission was small. Enjoy the new place!
7 · Out-of-town seller praise
"Managed our sale from 500 miles away — repairs, staging, closing. We never had to fly in once."
Remote sales are a logistics sport: contractors let in, staging approved by video call, documents signed digitally — and the owners' peace of mind protected at 500 miles. Never needing to board a plane was exactly the goal. Congratulations on the sale, and thank you for trusting me with the keys in every sense.
8 · Review from non-client after open house
"Went to their open house. Agent barely acknowledged us, too busy chatting with others."
An open house where visitors feel invisible is a failed open house — every person through the door deserves a welcome and a follow-up, whatever brought them in. That miss is mine. If you're still in the market, I'd like a second first impression: come by any of my listings and you'll get the attentive version.

Communication complaints are the #1 theme

"Never returned my calls" appears in more agent reviews than any other complaint. Respond with your actual communication standard (response times, weekly updates) and an invitation to reconnect directly. Future clients are reading for exactly this.

Confidentiality still applies

Transaction details are sensitive. Never reveal prices, negotiation positions, or personal circumstances in a response — even when the reviewer discloses them first. Speak to your process, not their deal.
