Scriba

The short version. Your recordings, your transcripts and everything Scriba generates from them never leave your iPhone. There is no account and no server holding your content. The only data that goes anywhere is anonymous measurement of which advertising brought you here, and that happens only if you allow it.

All of the following is created and stored only in Scriba's own storage area on your iPhone. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no technical means of reading it:
Speech recognition and the generation of summaries and concept maps run on the device itself, using Apple's on-device frameworks. No audio and no text is sent to us or to any third party for processing. Scriba works with no network connection at all.
If you delete a note, its audio file and transcript are deleted from the device. Deleting the app removes everything.
Scriba uses AppsFlyer to measure which marketing brings people to the app, and how the app is used in aggregate. This is the only data that leaves your device.

These events deliberately carry no content. They never include audio, transcript text, note titles, file names or search terms — this is enforced in the app's source code, not left to good intentions.
The first time you open Scriba, iOS asks whether the app may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, the advertising identifier is not used and no cross-app tracking takes place. The app works exactly the same either way — nothing is withheld from you for saying no.
You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone, and you can turn off tracking for every app at once in the same place.
Subscriptions and the one-time Lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, your email address or your payment details. We receive only the anonymous confirmation from Apple that a purchase is valid, which is what unlocks the paid features on your device. Apple's handling of your data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Scriba asks for microphone access in order to record, and for speech recognition in order to turn recordings into text. Both permissions are used only for that, only when you start a recording or a transcription, and the audio is processed on the device. You can withdraw either permission in Settings → Scriba; recording will then stop working, but nothing already on your device is affected.
Only AppsFlyer Ltd., acting as our processor for the measurement described in section 3, under a data processing agreement. They are the sole third party that receives anything at all. Their practices are described in the AppsFlyer Services Privacy Policy. We do not sell data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we run no advertising network inside the app.
Content on your device is kept until you delete it. Measurement data held by AppsFlyer is retained according to their standard retention periods and is deleted when it is no longer needed for attribution and analysis.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we hold no account and no directly identifying information, the practical route to most of these is your device: the content is yours to export or delete at any time, and tracking is yours to withdraw in iOS Settings.
For anything else, write to info@edgemarket.app and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority; in Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Scriba is rated 4+ but is built for study and work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, write to info@edgemarket.app and we will delete it.
AppsFlyer may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
These pages are static. They set no cookies, run no analytics and embed nothing from third parties. Our web server keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting, and rotates them regularly.
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and the new version is published here before it takes effect. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
