Frequently asked questions

What file types can I import?

Audio: MP3, M4A/AAC, WAV, AIFF, CAF, FLAC and similar. Video lessons (Pro): MOV, MP4, M4V. Files must be 1 second to 6 hours long and contain an audio track.

Why can't I import songs from Apple Music?

Songs streamed from Apple Music, or otherwise protected by DRM, are encrypted by Apple and the rights holders, and no third-party app is allowed to process them. Slowloop declines DRM-protected items by design and does not circumvent protection. You can use: songs you own as DRM-free files (MP3/M4A/WAV and so on, including ones you ripped or bought DRM-free), songs synced to your device that are not protected, your own recordings, and files from the Files app or iCloud Drive. If an item is greyed out or rejected, it is probably protected or not downloaded to the device.

Why does my iCloud file fail to import?

The file may not be fully downloaded. Open it in the Files app so it downloads, then import it again.

What does the free version include?

Up to 3 of your own tracks, loops, and speed from 50% to 100%. Pro adds unlimited tracks, 25%-200% speed, pitch shifting, video lessons, recording and comparing takes, saved sections, the speed trainer and vocal reduction.

How much is Pro?

Lifetime: US$19.99 once. Yearly: US$9.99 per year with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Local prices are shown in the app.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Slowloop, or https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions . Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal or trial end date. Deleting the app does not cancel it.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open Slowloop Settings and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID used to buy.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple: https://reportaproblem.apple.com

Can I record myself?

Yes, with Pro. Slowloop asks for microphone access the first time you record. Recordings stay on your device. If you declined, enable it in iOS Settings > Slowloop > Microphone. Wired or Bluetooth headphones help prevent the backing track from bleeding into your recording.

Where is my data? Do I need an account?

No account is needed. Everything (tracks, recordings, loops, settings) is stored only on your device. See the Privacy Policy. Deleting the app deletes its data, so back up recordings you want to keep.

Audio is out of sync with the video or slightly delayed on Bluetooth.

Bluetooth headphones add latency that the app cannot fully remove. Try wired headphones or the device speaker.

Does it work offline?

Yes, everything works in airplane mode.

Sound quality is odd at very slow speeds.

Time-stretching at 25%-50% can introduce artefacts, more so on dense mixes; this is normal for any stretching algorithm.

Privacy Policy

Slowloop ("the app") is developed by Danjel Durmo, an individual developer ("I", "me"). Contact: info@edgemarket.app

Summary

Slowloop works entirely on your device. I do not run a server for the app, there are no accounts, and the app contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising or tracking. I do not collect, receive, sell or share any personal data.

What stays on your device

The app stores the following only in its private storage on your iPhone or iPad:

This data is never sent to me or to anyone else by the app. It is removed when you delete the tracks in the app or delete the app. Depending on your device settings, it may be included in your own iCloud or computer backups made by Apple; that is controlled by you and Apple, not by me.

Permissions

Slowloop does not use the camera, location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifier, and it does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you.

Purchases

Purchases (the Pro lifetime unlock and the yearly subscription) are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. I do not receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. The app only checks locally, via StoreKit, whether you have an active entitlement. Apple's processing of your payment is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Diagnostics

The app may write basic technical messages to the system log on your device (for example, to help me debug during development). These are not sent anywhere by the app. If you choose to share Apple's crash or analytics data with developers in iOS settings, Apple may provide me anonymised, aggregated reports; these contain no personal identifiers I can link to you.

Contacting me by email

If you email info@edgemarket.app, I receive your email address and whatever you write, and I use it only to reply to you. I delete support emails when they are no longer needed.

Your rights and accounts

Because I hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for me to access, correct or delete on your behalf; you control all app data directly on your device. The app has no account system, so there is no account to delete. If you are in the EU/EEA/UK, you retain your rights under data-protection law and may contact me at the address above.

Children

The app is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If the app's data practices ever change, I will update this policy and its date before the change takes effect.

Terms of Use

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of Slowloop ("the app"), provided by Danjel Durmo, an individual developer ("I", "me"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. Contact: info@edgemarket.app

Apple's standard EULA

The app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (Licensed Application EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ . These terms supplement it; if they conflict, Apple's EULA governs the license and these terms govern the rest. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.

What the app does

Slowloop is a practice player: it slows down, loops, pitch-shifts and (in Pro) records over audio and video files that you import, entirely on your device. There are no accounts and no servers.

Your content and your rights

Free and Pro

The app is free to use with limits (currently up to 3 tracks, speed range 50%-100%, and without Pro-only features). Slowloop Pro unlocks the full feature set and is available as:

Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country and tax. Pro status is verified on your device via the App Store.

Auto-renewable subscription terms

Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app, or use it in violation of law or third-party rights.

Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Features such as vocal reduction are simple audio processing and may not give perfect results. Keep your volume at safe levels; protect your hearing. You should keep your own backups of important recordings.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or loss of data or content, arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.

Changes and termination

I may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it.

Privacy

See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled (in short: it all stays on your device).
